Site Demolition

Demolition is source separation and deconstruction that involves taking a building apart while carefully preserving valuable materials (metals) for recycling. Correctly dismantling materials can vastly improve time spent in the sorting process and help keep landfill expenses low.

Before Demolition

Before beginning a demolition; preparatory asbestos abatement, removal of hazardous or regulated materials, obtaining necessary permits, submitting necessary notifications, disconnecting utilities and development of site-specific safety and work plans must be implemented.

Keeping neighbours happy

In order to help obtain a safe and secure demolition, we take all the necessary precautions to protect the site perimeter from the public. This could mean the implementation of barriers, tape, signage, fencing or all of the above. We also strive to do neighbours and the surrounding area right by implementing dust control. Methods such as using fire hoses at secured, fixed locations and from elevated positions help to achieve a successful wet demolition. Another notable control method is the implementation of filter cloth on fencing; this is good for immediate low lying dust and debris that might penetrate already existing fence.
